Before becoming the First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt co-owned the Todhunter School for girls in Manhattan, where she taught subjects including English, history, and drama. In recognition of the class of 1933, she extended an invitation to the graduates to spend a night at the White House, enjoy a cruise on the Sequoia, and she also attended their graduation.
